Within the framework of the CAPambition2024 project, co-financed by the European Union, students with specialization in Agroalimentary Economics and Food Products Engineering from the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania in Miercurea Ciuc had the opportunity to gain deeper insights into sustainable agriculture and the local food industry by visiting two innovative regional enterprises on 12th of March.

At the RibON Cooperative, specialized in fruit processing and dietary supplement production, we explored innovative methods for processing blackcurrants. Students learned about valuable fruit components, observed advanced technologies, and were informed about ongoing research and future development plans aimed at enhancing food safety and sustainability in local production.

At the modern Andy Zoofarm, known for the Bömbi brand, we observed how modern dairy farming operates through robotic milking and digital farm management. Additionally, we gained insight into the production process of locally popular dairy products, such as matured cheeses, yogurt, and sour cream.

We thank RibON Cooperative and Andy Zoofarm for their warm hospitality and detailed insights into their work, as well as Sapientia University in Miercurea Ciuc for their cooperation!
