Most municipalities in Transylvania are facing the problem of students not returning home and local companies facing a shortage of skilled labour. The aim of the initiative is to attract young people studying in Cluj or other university towns back to their hometown after their university years
The job portal is part of the Your Town Wants You Home project, which links students from university towns with local companies in Harghita County.
It is a continuation of the project, we also focus on young people who have stayed at home or are returning home, as well as guiding young people who study in other cities at universities. The project “Harghita is waiting for you at home!” has expanded its activities in recent years, but we want to maintain our job portal, which is free for companies in Harghita County and for people living or returning to their home country.
In 2022, we launched the mobile application “Come home Harghita”, which offers, in addition to job placement, other opportunities and useful information to those interested. If you are interested in starting a business, applying for jobs and/or you are interested in events in fields such as sports, tourism or other events in the county, do not forget to download “Come home Harghita!” application.
The Harghita County Council and its subordinate institutions have prepared 101 youth programs, which are an integral part of the future Harghita 2030 County Youth Strategy.
From 2023, the Career Office will receive young people in the youth hall of the County Council. Our goal is to offer a helping hand in the career planning process, right from the first step. Choosing a career, finding a job, changing jobs, developing, merit scholarships, applying for a job: if you are facing any of these processes or if you are unable to overcome them, do not hesitate to contact us.
